Prophetess

Prophetess is an Independent Bottler founded by The Whisky Snob. The name “Prophetess” refers to an iconic Jewish Alchemist by the name of Miriam Judea.  Miriam most likely lived around the first century in the Judean Territory, before being exiled to Alexandria, Egypt. There she started her studies, and became the Western World’s first Alchemist, reinventing distillation and many other methods used in labs today. None of her writings survived the burning of Alexandria’s library, but her work is referenced by multiple historians and Alchemists, from the 3rd century and much later. In their work, she is often referenced as “Mirian the Jewess”, of more impotantly – “Mariah the Prophetess”. Miriam Judea is an icon, both in the distillation industry and to the world of science.
